Welcome to Project BabyLove

The possibility:

Nurturing the smallest, youngest and most fragile among us.

The outcome:

Cuddler program volunteers available in every Neonatal Intensive Care unit in the country.

Project BabyLove is a corps of loving, caring volunteers who work with the nurses in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of a hospital. As Cuddlers, they have completed a training program preparing them to hold, feed and change tiny, at-risk babies (sometimes weighing only two pounds), allowing the nurses to do what they do best, NURSING. As the Project BabyLove Cuddler program grows, these dedicated volunteers will become ambassadors and visiting Cuddlers to other hospitals that don’t have an established NICU Cuddler program.

Our vision is to establish Project BabyLove Cuddler programs in every NICU in the state of California, and the country – so that all newborns get the special care they really need, and to give the mothers at home assurance that their newborns are being lovingly cared for in their absence.
